12 pounds down in 8 weeks!
We don't pat ourselves on the back and toot our horns as much as we should; I am here to switch that up!
**Sorry about the delayed post, I traveled to Hamilton as the showcasing designer at my alma mater's fashion show!**
I have been putting in that work for the past 8 weeks and am proud to announce that I am now 12 pounds lighter and with a whole lotta muscle added to my curvier frame!
I was not really looking to lose weight as much as I wanted to lead a healthier and more active lifestyle but when one of my friends advised me that she was putting together an 8 week Whatsapp group fitness challenge, I thought why not? I was already working out 3-4 times/week and she was suggesting I really turn it up a few notches.
One of my 2019 goals is to push my body even further (physically) and so that is exactly what I did. I don't know if it's my Zodiac sign, genes or both but once I set my mind to do something, I give it my all. I went hard with this challenge - I followed the coach's tips and used the Lose It app to track all my calories (even the ones I did not want to add) but the app doesn't lie if you don't! The pounds started dropping and now some of my clothing is a little loose!
I plan on maintaining this lifestyle during most of the year but do plan to indulge here and there as events and celebrations come my way. The program is pretty accommodating in my opinion, as long as you have no prior health issues and are a generally healthy person, as per your doctor. I have a pretty busy schedule, travel quite often and have braces and yet I was able to stay on track.

It's amazing how having a support group of non-judgmental women can really boost your morale! I strongly suggest joining if you wish to drop a few pounds (or 20), gain some healthy tips and/or start your weight loss journey.
